STORYTELLING CAFÉ
at KITCHEN GARDEN CAFÉ
Started in March 1988 by Graham Langley and Katrice Horsley it has been the flagship storytelling event in the Midlands running events once a month. There is great demand for tickets often selling out in advance. Its home is now a cosy café in Kings Heath, an inner suburb of the city. Organic meals are served before the storytelling starts and in the summer the open courtyard is the storytelling space if the weather is fine – but this is England so it does not happen very often.
Storytellers Graham Langley, Mike Forbes and Dan Longley host the evenings. In common with other Storytelling Cafes they have presented the best storytellers in the British Isles and many international tellers.
Storytelling Café is part of a range of activities run by the
Traditional Arts Team
