Mike is one of the resident storytellers at Storytelling Café, sometimes taking the role of MC and compère. He has an engaging performance style and a way of appearing to take you into his confidence. He has a wide and expanding repertoire of stories and is equally at home with Greek myths and other sacred stories as with down-to-earth folk tales and comic narratives. He feels at home with any kind of audience, whether young or old, formal or informal, large or small. His long experience as a school-teacher has given him a particular ability to communicate with children through story, maybe because there is still something of the child in him, wanting to be told a story.
