Wass is a small village on the southern edge of the
North York Moors close to the ruins of Byland
Abbey. Wass Storytelling has been included in the
Storytelling Café Tours for the first time in 2008
on the initiative of Linda Hencher acting as an
individual. The Storytelling Café Tour events have
taken place in Wass Village Hall.
Stemming from the tour a small storytelling circle will meet for the first time in September using the garden lodge shown above as a venue for up to 15 people.
Linda Hencher has been storytelling for several years and uses a variety of sources for her stories. She has worked with her husband Tony Lacey telling stories in schools and other venues often with musical accompaniment.
