BURTON-ON-TRENT
STORYTELLING CAFÉ
BREWHOUSE ARTS CENTRE
Burton is a brewing town so it is no surprise that its arts centre is in an old brewery. The arts centre presents Storytelling Café on three occasions a year as part of the English Storytelling Network but also has a lively programme of community storytelling including the Web of Stories Festival once a year in May. There are several spaces including a bar that will seat 90 in cabaret style and a theatre that will seat 150. As with all Storytelling Cafes food and drink is an important ingredient of the evening.
As part of the English Storytelling Network Burton-on-Trent Storytelling Café has presented some the best storytellers in the British Isles as well as international tellers.
Storytelling Café is part of a range of activities run by the Traditional Arts Team
