CENTRE, HAMMERSMITH
The centre provides one of the most exciting and adventurous ongoing programmes of top quality traditional Irish and Celtic music to be found anywhere in Britain. The centre houses a small public library which is full of wonderful stories and History about Ireland. The centre has an extensive education programme and is very well known as a major base for international storytelling organised by Kate Corkery the centres resident poet. Once a year it hosts a three day storytelling festival and an annual Celtic Heart festival in conjunction with a local theatre. The main hall and rooms of various sizes are available for hire throughout the week and at weekends. The Irish Cultural centre is funded by Dion (the Irish Government).
